I just cald the Navy... after being a lil girl about it for two weeks.. i finally did it.. .... oh my god... scary. oh, and iv bein thinking... about Global economics, and the solution to scarcity, which is the reason why all the worlds problems exist. Unlimited wants and a very limited number of supplys. Now, if we could find a balance, then that would basically bring about world peace and end all economic unfun'ness. That was communisms idea. Of course, thats also flawd, because if you divided the worlds population up and gave everyone equal everything, then there would be no reason to work more.. no ambition or determination. Scarcity is what drives the current economy, the economy actually depends on the fact people -aren't- happy, and aren't getting what they want. Now, if you look back, in early times, humans divided up its workforce, first by the huinter/gatherer ways, later in feudal or caste systems, and now in tax-brackets ... most people are middle or lower classed, forced to work alot and get a little.. while a select few run this operation, and reap the rewards of an economy thats fueled off of strife. Well, I was thinking about how this could be solved, without destroying the reason it exists -> to motivate. And I think I figured it out. Its very Star Trek'ish. Were approaching a time when the lower and middle classes are being made obsolete, or at least in much-less demand. now, currently that jus mkaes more problems for this economy. But if it was reinvented, if it had a goal that wasnt to perpetuate its own shortcomings, it would be greatly helped by advancing technologies like that. So, basically, we can either destroy working machines, or we needs to develope alot more, alot faster... once we have enough products to go around, to make more than enough food for 10 billion people, and enough junk for that many, *and if you look, we are -way- off... this planet could barely support 2 billion comfortably* then we could shift into a new forum. Now, the three main ones I can think of are Exploration, Science, and Entertainment. of course, right now we can barely explore the entire ball of rock were on, much less any farther, so we'll need science. Altho currently the economy is heavily driven off of entertainment, so transfer wouldnt be as difficult as turning the entire population into scientists. Basicly, the entire human race needs to re-write its existance. ALOT of people need to die too. Basically take the smartest, fastest, elite of every field, retrain them for some kind of useful purpose. *most jobs, if you look, are completely useless to the evolution and survival of this race* and then rebuild life. We could probably let most of the world go back into wildness... 1.5 - 2 billion people could repopulate europe, japan, parts of asia, and north america... the entire continent of south america, africa, and australia are fairly useless and have no real historic of industrial value... if we can not-use as much space as possible, then itd be easier to transfer into being an entirely space-borne species. From there we can terraform moons and planets that had no previous life. and we could avoid colonizing planets that hav life on them already... This species could actually be purposeful and stuff, life would be perfect. ... but no, people are stupid, and they will keep indiscriminantly breeding and wasting time and resources... people are jus so incredibly stupid... if someone gave me a quick way to kill a billion people, i would. Like, a little red button or something.. yeah, id press that bitch at least three times, maby four of five... grr! plus most, if not all, of the social systems weve created are totally worthless, and serve no purpose whatsoever. really, a redesign of our social orders are needed too... its almost 12.. that means Lupin III and InuYasha :D nitenite fer nows -0ut
